New shop, new makes, new crafty folk

I haven't blogged all week as I have had a lot of catching up to do and orders to make, I think people seem to now be ordering for Christmas as I have noticed sales and orders have increased dramatically in the last week, which more than makes up for the dismal craft fair I did in Oakham last Saturday.

This week amongst all the sewing and designing (my proper job) I did manage to take a bit of time out to meet with a super talented lady who is also in Northants. Her business is called Shabby Polka Dots and she has a lovely blog. We haven't known each other for very long but share a love for all things handmade and vintagey. We visited a brilliant shop that is completely new to me, it is called Cranberry Cottage in Higham Ferrers, They have a gorgeous range of gifts, including Emma Bridgwater and Yankee Candles.

But the real joy was upstairs, as they have just fitted out their first floor as a craft shop and have an excellent range of materials from felt making to decoupage. They also have some lovely Moda and Tilda fabrics and lots of buttons and trims, these are just some of the things I was interested in but there is a huge range and I would thoroughly recommend a visit if you are in the area :)

I would also like to thanks Sharon of Shabby Polka Dots for introducing me to the Malteser Milkshake from Beans Café!! Yum.
