New Year? Pass the Kalms!

I have just had the strangest experience and had to share. If you have just been listening to 6 music yes that was me as a participant in The Chain!! For those of you who don't know The Chain is a series of songs that are somehow connected, I connected Mumm-ra (She's got you high) to the Marvelettes (Too many fish in the Sea).

Here's how I made the link:

Mummra was the bad guy in the 1980's cartoon Thundercats and the Thundercats was made by Marvel comics, so I chose a song by the Marvellettes!

I was extremely nervous, this sort of thing is way out of my comfort zone but don't think I made too much of a wally of myself, and Chris Hawkins (who I have a not so secret crush on) was very nice so it just felt like a phone call :)

What a good way to start the new year! Cheers 6 Music, especially Hen (you know why) x

I was listening too, having just discovered 6Music after getting a digital radio for Christmas. It's great isn't it? You didn't sound nervous at all!

I've enjoyed looking through your blog - I really like your creativity!

Lol, glad the nerves didn't show :) I have been listening to 6music for 2 years (since setting up evajeanie) I love it, it keeps me going on the days when I have little energy and sometimes little morale (not often but it does happen!) Glad you like the blog, I checked yours and your work in amazing, so thank you for the compliment it means a lot :)

I heard you on the radio and found and followed your blog (I love that he let you plug it). Most of the craft and sewing blogs I follow are US ones so its great to find a lovely new UK one!

Today was the first time that I have listened to 6Music and I when I heard you I immediately had a look at your blog (don't tell the boss I was supposed to be working!) I love that you are selling all the lovely things that you make - just the sort of thing that I would like to do when I find my mojo! - and my name is Jeannie (spelt differently). I'll add you to my blog reader!

Hi Anne, thank you for your comment, and for following! I was really surprised I was allowed to say my blog name too! There are some lovely UK handmade blogs out there but I can't spend too long looking as it's very addictive!

Hi Evajeanie, I think it is brilliant that you got to talk about your work on the radio! I always listen to that show if I'm at home. I bet you were really excited. Lovely looking blog - like the font and illustrations. Good Luck!
